The university is rightfully proud of its human resources. Today, UlSU employs 934 teachers (including 593 full-time teachers), including 124 doctors of sciences (107 full-time) and 466 candidates of sciences (341 full-time). Among the university teachers are world-renowned scientists, members of Russian and international academies of sciences, honored scientists of the Russian Federation.
Currently, UlSU, being one of the largest universities in the Volga region, is a modern scientific and educational complex with a well-developed infrastructure of scientific and innovative research and training of highly qualified personnel, which includes 4 educational institutes, 8 independent faculties, Inzensky branch of UlSU, Novospasskoe representation of UlSU, 2 international educational structures (Russian-American and Russian-German faculties), Medical College named after A.L. Polenov, Musical College named after G.I. Shadrina, Automechanical College, etc.
In order to provide students with conditions for passing all types of internships, preparing coursework, graduation qualification works, promoting successful employment, basic departments are created on the basis of organizations and enterprises. To date, the structure of the structural divisions of the university includes 35 basic departments, incl. 13 basic clinical departments of the medical faculty of the Institute of Medicine, Ecology and Physical Education.
